Chapter Five - Summary: Ray recovers in the hospital, and other secrets come to light.

"Ray sat back, and went cold. "You realise what you just told me, don't you?"

"What?"

"You just told me that the FBI have been listening in on my family. Spying on my house."

Chapter Six - Summary:
The pressure continues to mount.

"You people coming to the school now?" Ray's voice was clipped as he squared off against Agent Cash. "That's a new low, even for you."

Summary: Ray confronts his demons at the church, and entertains guests:

"If the Iguanas find out," Ray said, "they'll torture me. They'll torture me till I tell them everything, and then they'll bury me in the desert where nobody will ever find me. It'll take years to have me declared legally dead, and in the meantime Ma will be sitting in that house, every day, thinking maybe I'm alive out there somewhere, never knowing. That's the best case scenario. Worst case? They figure out who my family are and go after them. They'll spend the rest of their life in witness protection. Ma wouldn't live to see my pension."

Characters: Ray Vecchio, canon characters, (Vecchio family, Harding Welsh, Bullring characters, Benton Fraser) original characters.

Summary: The FBI have approached Ray to go undercover with the mob, and Ray has said 'no.' But it turns out that there is a skeleton in the Vecchio family closet. What is the secret which Ray can't allow to be revealed, and how do the FBI use it to turn him into the Bookman?

"At that moment, Ray had realised that he’d spent his whole life feeling inadequate, trying to live up to a man who really, he owed nothing to. A man with no loyalty, no love...

If what the FBI said was true, the man had never had a shred of loyalty, or decency at all."

Like most dS fans I've always wanted to know more about what happened to Ray Vecchio while Benny was away in Canada to persuade him to take the undercover gig, and what subsequently occurred in Vegas. This series looks to address that.

Perfect Ten: Editor's Cut
author: bghost
fandom: due South
character: Benton Fraser/Ray Kowalski
Rating: sex, violence, and vile, vile language. The vile language is mainly in Chinese, but just so you know... There are at least a billion people out there who could be offended. To whom I also apologise for my rubbish keyboard not allowing me to get the tones right. No insult to anyone's actual ancestors is implied, or should be inferred.
Word Count: 3228

Notes: This is the 'editor's cut' of Perfect Ten, posted on the compulsively inspirational ds_snippets. It's over ten times as long, and a thousand times filthier. (You have been warned.) Don't blame me, it's not my fault that Fraser can't hold his beer.

Oh yes, and congratulations to Wu Minxia! You rock, in any language.

(A salutory tale, which warns of the evils of alchohol, as illustrated by rampaging elephants, a blood bath, and an alternative Chinese lexicon.)

My friend Vicki asked for a story in which Fraser and RayK are in a happy romantic relationship, raising a child. Now, once upon a time I thought I'd never write kidfic. (Once upon a time I thought I'd never write slash, and oh Lord, chapter three... look what happened!)

Anyway... here it is. And, for someone who hated the idea of kid!fic, was terrified of writing slash, and who hated the notion of Victoria having a child... I've got to say, I was wrong. Though I do say so myself, this is fun!

Thank you so much Vicki, for all the great ideas, and encouragement. Long may it continue.

This is what happens when I sit up late at night chatting about wolves, and librarians, and fairy tales, and so on! After going through a rather emotional stage of my fic writing... THIS happened. (Warnings for... how can I put this... werewolf smut.) Blame Granny Fraser for being a werewolf librarian who decided to walk around my head for a night. Or Ride, depending...

(Hoping I've posted to the right community now!)

I am delighted to say that my son has started writing fan fiction! He's a teenage lad, and his stories, so far, have been short, but I think with each attempt he's getting better, and his last one made me very proud. Yes... I know I'm his Mum, and I'm going to think he's wonderful, but I do think it's good for anyone, let alone a teenage boy. So... a Kong pov of what happens when he's taken to America.

Any encouragement has to be a good thing. I'm sure all us authors know how good feedback makes you feel. And I hope he continues writing because... well, it's good for you. :) Here it is, "Last of His Kind." (and if anyone out there knows what his name means, enlighten me! Something to do with Doctor Who and Marvel universe, I think...)

Hello everybody! I'm new to dreamwidth, but no longer new to dS fandom. I discovered the world of online dS on the 16th of February (a family birthday, hence why I remember) and since then it's taken over a large chunk of my life.

I've written a variety of different kinds of fics, ranging from casefics that I intended to parallel the series, and be the kind of thing that might have been shown on television, through crossovers, poetry, short stories, background fic.

If anybody's interested I'll put up a list of links to what I've done... I hope there's something for everyone. And before anyone asks, I swing both Rays... though I feel I have more in common with Vecchio. (Catholic upbringing, immigrant guilt thing going on.)

Anyway... most of my stuff is posted on AO3. Some is also on fanfic, but I plan for everything to go up on AO3, since I find it more user friendly, and easier to read.

Anyhoo... that's me. Let me know if you want to hear more about any of my fics... superman crossover, Benny as a baby, or the wonderful things that are happening in SLWalker and Kalijean's wizard!verse. http://archiveofourown.org/series/6043

And I'm sure I'll be popping in here a lot, because some really good writers are posting here, and I'll be along for no other reason than to read.
