So, not as dramatic as previous. Life bumbles along. My employer has been depriving this worker of her wages for over a month, and I thought, sod it, and just walked out. On the other hand, I got a date today for an MRI scan - this Thursday. So it's not as long a wait as I had been fearing.

The police have not come out yet to take my son and my statements. (Why does that sentence look wrong to me.) They assure me they are coming out today. I'm kinda nervous about that - I don't know if it will make things better or worse on the neighbourhood front.

Stood on the scales today (which was naughty, I normally only weigh myself on a Saturday morning.) But my skirt was surprisingly loose on me this morning, so I was curious. Lost twelve pounds since coming back from Canada. Or maybe I'm grieving for Toronto. It could be the distinct lack of poutine in my diet that's done it. It's the more surprising because I normally bloat up a little this time of the month.

Other than that - life as normal. At some stage I'm going to do a post of stuff I wrote in Canada and after returning home. Maybe that's how I should avoid writer's block in future - travel to dS related locations. Next year, Chicago!

Wait, what. Why are the police coming? I did read your previous post (sorry I didn't comment) but I don't remember anything about the cops. Or wait, is that about you giving statements about your neighbor?

Ha, yeah, I lost weight over the summer too, although I don't own any scales so I noticed becaue my jeans were loose. For me it was about walking around in the woods all summer--that does tend to use up energy.

Yes, it's because of the neighbour. She escalates sometimes, so we're having to stamp hard to make sure she doesn't ratchet things up.

Sadly I am not in a union. I only started this job a few months ago, part-time, and the late paychecks are a consistent feature. It is run by a Christian charity as well, and although they say they are welcoming people to all faiths or no faiths, the actual people who work there are intensely bigoted. No way I'm telling any of them I'm queer. I actually got reprimanded a week or two back when some woman who was buying Bibles started lecturing me about her version of the faith, and I was less than in agreement with her. Apparently the customer is always right, even when they're a bigoted moron.

Other than that I'm doing okay.

Oh, you're right - seasons do affect weight. I almost always put on six pounds or so in winter.
